This is the Yugoslavian TMA-3, a High-Explosive-Blast (HE-Blast), minimum-metal, Anti-Vehicle (AV), landmine made from cast explosive and covered in a coarse resin-reinforced fabric. On the top surface of the landmine, three threaded plastic fuze wells are set into the explosive. An identical auxiliary fuze well is incorporated in the centre at the base and a webbing-carrying handle is set into the side of the landmine.
During transit, all of the fuze wells are sealed with plastic plugs. The landmine uses three UTMA-3 fuzes, which have a black plastic body with a mushroom-shaped plunger on the top and a plastic-covered detonator protruding from the threaded portion of the fuze. Since the landmine body is totally non-metallic, the aluminium detonator tubes are the only metal content of this landmine once armed. The three fuzes are supplied in a purpose-built wooden or plastic box, along with three steel detector rings that may be fitted around the fuze threads or discarded.
Sometimes referred to as the ‘cheese mine’.
