Nepara

Nepara Base was a South African Defence Force (SADF) base located in Namibia, specifically in Sector 20, near the border with Angola. It was nicknamed “Nepara Sands” due to the sandy, beach-like terrain surrounding it. The base housed 905 Special Service Company (SSC). It was situated to the far west of Sector 20, about 20 kilometers from the Angolan border.

The base also served as a location for Finnish infantry members of the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) from August 1989 to April 1990.
