25 May 1965 history was made when Cmdt Bob Rogers and Maj John Murphy lifted off at Holme-On-Spalding-Moor with Buccaneer S MK50 tail number 413 at 16h50 for the flight of the first SAAF #Buccaneer to be delivered at the re-formed 24 Sqn at RNAS Lossiemouth.

The flight time was 50 minutes and they landed at Lossiemouth at 17h40 to the delight of all the flight and ground crew members who were all very proud to receive their first aircraft.
