Barry Stranack was born in Durban, South Africa in 1945, and grew up in the then Rhodesia. Barry served with the Rhodesian Light Infantry, the renowned 5 Command ‘Wild Geese’ of the Congo, the Rhodesian Regiment and the counter insurgency Special Forces Rhodesian Selous Scouts.
